Stand-alone installation

Prepare the MX700 following the manufacturer’s instructions. This includes removal of packaging materials and the installation of the automatic document feeder, paper trays and ink. Turn off the printer when the installation completes.

Turn on the laptop and wait for it to boot fully, then insert the installation disc into your CD-ROM of your laptop. The installation program runs automatically, unless you have disabled the autorun feature on your laptop. If the installation program does not start, click “Start” and “Computer”, then scroll to the icon representing your CD-ROM drive and double click on the file “exe” or configuration.

Click “Run Msetup4.exe” when prompted. Click “Continue” if you requested the “User Account Control”.

Click “Easy Install” and the installation method you prefer. A list of applications will appear on the screen. Confirm you want to install components from the list and click “Install”. Please review Canon license terms and click “Yes” to continue.

Choose the “Use the printer via USB” and click on “Next” to continue.

Connect the USB cable when prompted and turn on the printer. Check that one end of the cable is connected securely to the back of the MX700 and the other end securely connects to the USB port of your laptop. The drivers for the scanner

Install the scanner drivers on a network server. The 350 drivers are in the installation disks that come with the device. If you can not access the original CD, you can download the drivers from the Konica Minolta website.

Create shared folders on the server where the files. Depending on the operating system of the same, maybe you should assign access permissions to individual users or groups of users. For an employee to access the shared folder, you must have permissions to “read and write”. “Reading” will allow you to view files in the folder, while “writing” will allow you to scan the files and save it.

Make a mapping Bizhub 350 scanner in the shared server . Open the menu “Scanner Settings” under the “Settings” and enter the IP address of the server where you created the shared folders. Once the 350 is connected to the server, it will find the shared folders and create “maps scanning” to each of those folders.

Press the “Save” button on the touch screen panel to set the scanner settings.

Press the “Scan”, located on the front panel of the 350 to leave the device in scan mode. Once in this mode, you can select which folders you want to use for the scanned images as well as what type of files you want to use to store pictures. Bizhub is compatible with the file formats PDF, TIFF and MTIF for files that you scanned – Copier Repair.
