The Canon PIXMA MX700 offers the functionality of five machines in one space-saving device. Instructions

Stand-alone installation

Prepare the MX700 following the manufacturer’s instructions. This includes removal of packaging materials and the installation of the automatic document feeder, paper trays and ink. Turn off the printer when the installation completes.

Turn on the laptop and wait for it to boot fully, then insert the installation disc into your CD-ROM of your laptop. The installation program runs automatically, unless you have disabled the autorun feature on your laptop. If the installation program does not start, click “Start” and “Computer”, then scroll to the icon representing your CD-ROM drive and double click on the file “exe” or configuration.

Click “Run Msetup4.exe” when prompted. Click “Continue” if you requested the “User Account Control”.

Click “Easy Install” and the installation method you prefer. A list of applications will appear on the screen. Confirm you want to install components from the list and click “Install”. Please review Canon license terms and click “Yes” to continue.

Choose the “Use the printer via USB” and click on “Next” to continue.

Connect the USB cable when prompted and turn on the printer. Check that one end of the cable is connected securely to the back of the MX700 and the other end securely connects to the USB port of your laptop.
